Great Gorilla Run 2010

A 1st for an online charity strategy that brings social media, pr and digital together at last
The Gorilla Organisation wanted to further raise awareness of their brand and the great work they do helping the last gorillas that roam many parts of Africa. One of their activities was stage the Great Gorilla Run held in September where participants wear gorilla suits!
We were asked to develop a simple strategy which was too creatively utilize the energy of the Great Gorilla runners to gain maximum awareness and proactively empower them with tools to get more sponsorship for 2010.
The new idea we developed, a first for a charity, makes the runners the stars of the Great Gorilla Run in a way that is set to change the way the charity fundraises.
First we built a new website using social media aggregators, compiles the fundraising movements of the runners from websites such as Facebook and youtube and centralises it in one location; www.greatgorillarun.org.
Now the runners, all 600 of them, are being encouraged to film their own videos and take photographs in their gorilla heads out and about in their area; to raise awareness and donations for the run, in keeping with the theme that ‘the gorillas are everywhere.’
As a teaser for the new website, business cards and stickers featuring simply the new website address and the organization’s well known logo of a gorilla face, excited curiosity and encourages people to head straight to the new website in a less aggressive way than conventional methods like flyering.
This is the first time a charity has done anything of this kind, linking social networking to fundraising activity, encouraging runners to have fun with their fundraising and making the runners the star of the whole Great Gorilla Run 2010.
A new site for the Conspiracy Group

A new site and a new content management system. Here at Floh! we are always striving to find new ways of doing things and we think we have done just that with the new CMS we development for the Conspiracy Group website.
The clients old system was clunky and difficult to use resulting in the site never being updated. We proposed an in-context CMS allowing their team to update the site on the site using simple tools for formatting text and uploading images. Although this system might be a simple for large complex websites, for smaller sites like theirs we think its perfect.
Take a look at the site at www.conspiracy-group.com, unfortunately we cant give you access to their system to see how it works for yourself but if you give us a call we can arrange a demo.
Taking Production Music to New Hights

We recently had the pleasure of working with fine folks over at Altitude Music. A new production music label with attitude and a view of doing things differently, just the thing we love. With two of the industries most talented composers behind the helm we are sure success is just around the corner.
Working closely with the guys at Altitude and their brand design agency &Smith we came up with tasty looking site with an even tastier search engine to assist their customers in finding the right track for their project in as little time as possible.

We are really excited to be doing our very first project using the excellent 3D engine created by the guys over at Unity3D. With its superb rendering and smooth graphics, it offers a great alternative to Papervision3D and the like.
Integrating this technology with Flash opens up a whole other level of user experience possibilities which we are certain will engage users in more immersive environments.
We cant say what it is we are doing with it right now, but we are also too excited to keep our mouths shut about it.
Follow this link to see what Unity3D is all about and dont be afraid to install the plugin. For examples click here.
West One Music Update
After several weeks of late nights, countless cups of coffee and a few tears, we are rather happy to announce the latest update to West One Music.
With a brand spanking new Music section with fast, intuitive search and inline audio player, we have already noticed a significant increase in users. This update is the first step we are taking in improving the overall user experience and speed on the website, which will come to fruition early next year when we release the next version.

Go go google gadget
We have recently completed a brilliant new Google gadget for West One Music which allows people to search and audition music from the westonemusic.com live catalogue.
The gadget features very intuitive controls that use cutting edge technology to deliver the audio playback, previously only seen in Flash. We wont lie. Flash is still being used here, but it takes a back seat in only providing the sound. All the rest is done using mystical voodoo magic.
Follow the link below to add the gadget to iGoogle and start listening.
