TERMS & CONDITIONS
- By entering the competition entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to have agreed to be bound by them.
- The entrants acknowledge that the activities throughout this competition are physically demanding and that they have agreed to take part in this competition entirely at their own risk.
- Entrants warrant that they are in a fit state of mental and physical health to withstand all of the physical conditions and risks associated with participation in the competition and that they are not suffering from any pre-existing condition which may be aggravated by participation. The entrants agree to abide by any safety requirements and rules stipulated throughout the competition.
- Entrants expressly declare and represent that (i) they submit to English law in participating in this competition and (ii) they are individuals and not a company or any professional and/or commercial entity.
- The competition is open to all South African residents who are over the age of 18 years.
- This competition is NOT open to employees of the Promoter, relatives of employees of the Promoter or of its respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, its agents or any other person connected to the competition.
- By entering the competition entrants agree to their names being published and to be filmed, photographed and or interviewed for publicity purposes.
- The competition will run from 10am until 5pm on 31st March 2007 (inclusive) and during such time entrants must climb Lion’s Head Mountain and answer all of the questions correctly.
- The winner will be randomly selected from all valid entrants who have answered the questions correctly and have submitted this paper entry form to the Promoters representative at the top of Lion’s Head and have supplied all requested personal information at the time of entry.
- The winner will be drawn at La Med Restaurant, Camps Bay on 31st March 2007 at 6pm. Entrants must be present to receive their prize.
- The prize will be a 12 day trip for two trekking in Nepal, to be taken within either of the following dates; 23rd September 2007 until 5th October 2007 or 30th September until 12th October 2007, the prize includes; economy flights for two from Cape Town to Nepal, four nights’ accommodation at a 3 star hotel on a room only basis, eight nights’ accommodation at trekking lodges, return transfers between the airport and the 3 star hotel, a peregrine tour leader, local guides, equipment for the trek, porterage on trek and sightseeing and entrance fees, breakfast each morning, eight lunches and eight evening meals.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- The decision of judges in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entrants acknowledge that the flight, the hotel, and the trek will all be subject to the relevant third party service provider’s standard terms and conditions.
- The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner in the event that the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing that an entrant has contravened any term or condition of entry.
- Winners are advised to obtain their own travel insurance, insure they have had relevant vaccinations and must hold a valid passport and visa.
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any delay in performing or partial or total failure to perform any of its obligations to the winner (and/or any guests) under these Terms And Conditions if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including without limitation delays, changes, disruptions, cancellations, diversions or substitutions howsoever caused including without limitation, war, terrorist action or threatened terrorist action, strikes, hostilities, civil commotions, accidents, fire, flood or natural catastrophes arising without limitation out of or in connection with:(a)the activities of third party event organisers; (b) any form of transportation (including but not limited to flights, trains, coaches, buses, ferries, taxis or cars); and/or (c) by third parties providing accommodation included in the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the winner (and/or any guests and/or parents/guardians) shall be solely liable for any additional costs incurred as a result.
- The entrants agree at all times to indemnify the Promoter and absolve them from all liability in respect of personal injury or other accident, illness or damage to persons or property, howsoever caused.
